Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

LightConsen LLC ("LightConsen", "we") is a Wyoming limited liability company with its registered office at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question, write to hi@lightconsen.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the lightconsen.com website and the LightConsen cloud services, including accounts, subscriptions and the content marketplace (together, the "Services"). It does not cover:

• Our open-source applications running on your own devices. Data an application keeps locally — configuration, memory, knowledge bases, artifacts and, in Kiwano, your API keys — stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Third-party AI providers, search services and connectors you configure. When your device sends a request to a provider you chose, that provider's own privacy policy applies.
• Third-party marketplace content published by other authors.

3. What we collect

• Account data — the email address and name you sign up with, and your sign-in credentials.
• Billing data — plan, subscription status and invoices. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage and credit data — how many credits your account has used, what they were used for (cloud models, search, marketplace items) and when, so that metering, limits and invoices work.
• Content you store with a cloud service — for example sessions and artifacts you ask us to sync between your devices. If you do not enable sync, we do not receive them.
• Support and correspondence — messages you send us and our replies.
• Technical data — IP address, browser or client type, timestamps and error records kept in server logs for security and operations.

The marketing website is a set of static pages. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

4. Why we use it

• to provide the Services, including accounts, sync, metering and marketplace delivery;
• to bill subscriptions, apply limits and prevent abuse of credits and free tiers;
• to provide support and answer enquiries;
• to keep the Services secure and working, and to diagnose faults;
• to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations;
• to send service messages, and — only with your consent where required — product news you can unsubscribe from.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

• Processors working for us — cloud hosting and storage, payment processing, email delivery, and error monitoring. They act on our instructions and are bound by contract.
• AI model and search providers — only the content needed to answer a request you made through a cloud service.
• Authorities — where the law requires it, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Services.
• A successor — if the business or a product is transferred, data may move with it, under this policy or one equally protective.

6. International transfers

We and our processors may store and process data in the United States and in other countries. Where personal data protected by the GDPR or similar law is transferred out of its region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Retention

Account and billing records are kept while your account is open and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Usage records are kept for the period needed for metering, support and abuse prevention. Server logs are kept for a short operational window. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent you have given. Write to hi@lightconsen.com and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in the United States and your state grants a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data, note that we do not sell or share personal data for advertising.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege practices, and we keep our dependency surface small. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

10. Children

The Services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where appropriate we will notify account holders by email.
